Our services during the coronavirus pandemic

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic York Women’s Counselling Service are not currently offering face to face counselling appointments. If you are a current client, your counsellor will be in touch to offer an alternative service during this period. Telephone assessments will continue for clients currently on our waiting list, but no new client counselling will begin during the pandemic and our waiting list is currently closed.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and will update you with any further changes to our service. Thank you for your patience and co-operation during this time – as always we will strive to continue to support as many of our clients as possible whilst also fulfilling our duty of care to those clients, our volunteers and to our staff.

In common with many charities, YWCS has suffered a drop in income during this period.  If you’d like to help us during this difficult time there’s more information here.
