Christmas Appeal: Help Us Change Lives This Festive Season

Stacked Christmas presents in YWCS colours in front of the YWCS logo.

This Christmas, York Women’s Counselling Service invites you to join us in giving the gift of one to one counselling when they need it, for as long as they need it, regardless of their financial circumstances. For the cost of a packet of mince pies, or by donating to us instead of sending cards, you can give hope to women in York who are experiencing emotional stress and trauma. Here’s how you can make a difference this Christmas:

Donate Today

Your generosity ensures that no woman is turned away due to financial hardship.

  • £5 covers the cost of counselling room rental for one session.

  • £15 provides one counselling session for a woman in poverty.

  • £100 covers six weeks of support for someone in need.

  • £500 offers over 30 hours of professional counselling to a woman in distress.

Set Up a Regular Donation

This Christmas, consider giving the gift of a regular donation - either on behalf of yourself or as a thoughtful gift for someone special. Regular contributions enable us to plan ahead, provide sustainable support, and extend our reach to more women in need.

Every monthly gift, no matter the size, helps us build a stronger, safer community. As a token of our gratitude, we’ll send a thank-you card to you or your loved one and recognise the donation as a named benefactor on our website and in our Impact Report.

Your generosity can make a lasting difference.
