Join our Board: YWCS seeks Finance Professional

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced finance professional from the York community to step into the shoes of our outgoing Treasurer, who is moving cities, and to join our friendly and active Board of Trustees.

York Women’s Counselling is run by women for women and was established over 24 years ago with the mission of ensuring that talking therapies and support were available to women in the city no matter what their income.

Over the past two years YWCS has undergone a transformation of our processes and expansion of our services and sadly our current Treasurer is moving away from the city.  We’re therefore seeking to appoint an experienced finance professional to maintain the strength of our Board as we build a long-term financial plan to underpin our new three-year strategy to meet the challenges that increasing numbers of women face in their lives.

We are looking for someone with the skills, experience, energy and time to commit to our important work. Through a combination of strategic insight and support for our staff team, you can help us further build our financial resilience and good governance so that more women can receive the support that they need and deserve.
